Camps & Workshops

Easily recognized as one of the best fashion design schools in the South, SCAD enrolls Rising Star scholars in two five-quarter credit courses that can apply to future SCAD or other collegiate transcripts. Accepted students can choose to attend classes in either Savannah or Atlanta, depending on their goals. All supplies, trims and sewing machines are provided by Fashion Lab NY. The ‘X ‘that each one of our budding designer-maker brings to class. On the last day of the camp there will be a presentation of the works at the school and parents and friends will be invited to attend. At the end of the week, each student will present the item they made in a fashion presentation for friends and family.

You should plan to dedicate either 15 hours for a half-day camp or 30 hours for a full-day camp each week. While formal certification can be beneficial for job applications, the hands-on experience and personalized feedback you gain are invaluable in preparing you for the fashion industry. For the Seattle Fashion Academy, you’ll need to complete specific sewing, draping, and pattern-making courses. Start by submitting an interest form, which pairs you with an alumni mentor and helps outline your fashion interests. There’s no fee for this step, and after submission, you’ll receive an application packet and program handbook via email.

The Summer Fashion Camp is the summer edition of our renowned Break into the Fashion Industry course, the most effective program for preparing fashion enthusiasts to land their dream jobs. With over 3,000 students, Break into the Fashion Industry has helped individuals secure positions at top fashion and luxury companies. For instance, some camps accept around 20 campers, while others may have smaller groups of 4 to 15.

Spanning two exciting weeks each, these camps are designed to ignite creativity and passion in the worlds of fashion and cosplay. Note that there are a select number of spaces for weekly registrations for our summer camps, but the curriculum is designed around 2 weeks.

Our camp staff will wait for students at the gate on the day of arrival and assist them during check-in on the day of departure.
